The African Diaspora
Africa, often referred to as the cradle of humanity, is a continent rich in history, culture, and natural resources. As the birthplace of the human species, it holds a deep significance in our collective heritage. The African diaspora, spanning across the globe, carries with it a vibrant tapestry of traditions, languages, and cultural practices that continue to influence societies worldwide. Africa's vast landscapes are abundant with valuable resources, from its fertile soils and diverse wildlife to its mineral wealth. This combination of cultural richness and natural bounty makes Africa a unique and integral part of our global community, embodying both the origins of life and the enduring spirit of human resilience and creativity.

Morocco
It's a shame that Morocco is the only country I've visited on this continent so far, but it certainly did not disappoint. My first experience in Africa was truly unforgettable. I decided to visit Morocco during the same trip to Portugal because of their close proximity, and it turned out to be a perfect decision. Morocco is a culturally rich and diverse country, with its people being well-versed in multiple languages and offering some of the best-seasoned food I've ever had outside of America. The sights were equally stunning, from the vibrant Jardin Majorelle to the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, among many others.
Staying in a beautiful riad, the traditional and gorgeous homes of Marrakesh, was an enchanting experience. Riding a camel and exploring the Berber villages gave me a deeper appreciation for the local culture. As a natural curly-haired girl, visiting the places where women make argan oil was a highlight, and of course, I had to bring some back with me. My time in Morocco was too short, and there's so much more I want to see, including other cities and spending nights in the desert. I can't wait for my next visit to continue exploring this incredible country.
