Costa Rica
Costa Rica holds a special place in my heart, as it played a significant role in shaping the trajectory of my life. Prior to visiting this beautiful country on vacation, I had never ventured south of the United States border, and I always envisioned myself living in Europe if I were to move outside of the States. However, Costa Rica changed that mindset entirely. It introduced me to the idea of living a slower, less fast-paced life, where material things and work aren't at the center of people's lives. Tamarindo, with its stunning beaches, breathtaking landscapes, and charming villas, captured my heart from the moment I arrived. I was so mesmerized by the beauty of Costa Rica that I ended up extending my trip for a few more days. It was here that I truly began to believe I could live a more laid-back, simpler life. Moreover, it was in Costa Rica where I met my now ex-boyfriend, who later introduced me to Mexico, where I fell in love with the country and am currently living. Costa Rica will always hold a special place in my heart for the profound impact it had on my life's journey.

El Salvador
TikTok made me do it! Like many of you, I found myself endlessly scrolling on TikTok when I stumbled upon a post raving about a girl's recent trip to El Salvador. With my birthday just around the corner and a desire to embark on an adventure, I decided to book it! Much like Ecuador, El Salvador uses the USD as its national currency, but what truly intrigued me was learning that it was the first country to make bitcoin a legal tender—a remarkably progressive move. During my solo trip, I explored far and wide, immersing myself in the vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes. One highlight was visiting Bitcoin City, where transactions and wages are paid with cryptocurrency—it was fascinating to witness firsthand. Although I should have rented a car for easier exploration, I made the most of my time, hitting up various beaches, trying my hand at surfing, and visiting popular tourist attractions. Now, I'm eagerly counting down the days until I can return and explore another part of this incredible country. El Salvador, I'll be back soon!
